Summer camp for local Refugees

JULY 15-19, 2024

Port Crane, NY- The Together for Ukraine Foundation is proud to sponsor 16 local children who recently fled the war in Ukraine to attend Path of Life Summer Camp the week of July 15th-19th.  Together for Ukraine is deeply grateful to the Ahearn Foundation and our 5k Sponsors for making this program possible.  Thank you to our volunteers, and Path of Life Staff.  We would also like to thank ACHIEVE Summer Camp for accommodating special needs campers.

spiedie Fest- Ukrainian folk art workshops & Demonstrations

AUG 2-3, 2024

Otsiningo Park, Binghamton, NY- All Day

Together for Ukraine will be leading folk art workshops and demonstrations in traditional flower wreath making, embroidery, and pysanky (Easter Eggs) during the 40th Annual Spiedie Fest Balloon Rally and Music Expo.  All workshops are by donation.  Donations will go towards support services for newly arrived refugees, as well Okhmtadyt Children's Cancer Hospital, which was recently bombed by Russian missiles.

Kommuna Lux Ukrainian urban folk concert for kramatorsk hospital

Kommuna Lux, an urban folk band from Odesa, Ukraine, will perform a benefit concert for Kramatorsk Hospital.

The concert will feature traditional Klezmer, Ukrainian and Balkan music, and is part of a 30-city tour North American tour. Tickets for the concert in Binghamton are $20 and can be purchased online (http://bit.ly/3x6pJAk) or at the door.

Make a "vinok" flower wreath you can wear around the festival while you listen to Ukrainian folk music.  Donations will go towards support services for newly arrived refugees, as well Okhmtadyt Children's Cancer Hospital, which was recently bombed by Russian missiles.

February 22, 2024 marks the 2 year anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.  Please join us for an Interfaith Vigil at the Broome County Courthouse (92 Court Street, Binghamton.)  Warm up at a light reception at Atomic Tom's (196 State Street, Binghamton) and learn how you can get involved to support Ukraine.  Believe in Democracy.  Believe in Victory.   Believe in Ukraine!

Together for Ukraine is organizing a delegation of NY State constituents to speak with members of Congress about the importance of supporting Ukraine.  If you are interested in learning more or want to apply for a scholarship, please email info@togetherforukraine.us .


 Our October 2023 team of 14 delegates represented 4 community organizations, 6 houses of worship, and delegates aged 8-65.

LUMA projection arts festival

SEP 9-10 2023

LUMA is the world's premier projection lights festival, where artists use powerful projectors and 3D animation to make the buildings in downtown Binghamton come to life.  Our theme is "Light will win over darkness" (a Zelensky quote) and we are fundraising to support a newly-arrived refugee family with specific immediate needs, as well as battery banks for schools and soldiers on the front lines in Ukraine.

Together for Ukraine will be tabling and offering transportation and tickets to the Dakha Brakha concert at the Binghamton University Anderson Center at 7PM on Monday, November 20th.  Special Thanks to the Anderson Center for sponsoring 50 local refugees to attend the Dakha Brakha concert.

Caroling for ukraine

Join in the joyous tradition of Ukrainian Caroling for an important cause this holiday season.  Sign up to have a team of Together for Ukraine carolers visit your home or business to sing traditional Ukrainian Christmas Carols, Schedryky, and New Years Blessings.  We will be raising our voices to raise funds for fuel and generators in affected areas, while also helping refugee families resettle in the Southern Tier.

Sponsoring Refugee Children to Attend Summer Camp

Together for Ukraine is grateful to the numerous partners who made this program possible.  We are thankful to Path of Life Summer Camp, which offered discounted enrollment for refugee campers. We thank Achieve NY for making a wheelchair accessible bus available, and to local business Access Unlimited for registering and insuring the bus.  We thank OCC Transit licensed drivers who volunteered to bus students to day camp.
